At Hospital Companions we consider our people to be our greatest asset. It is our people who are the bridge which connect patients, families, and medical staff during a health-related situation. We are very selective in who we call one of our own.

Our people share experience in care giving and an in-depth training in the technological aspects of our service. As the administrators of our Patient Page℠, they are experts in effective communication.

Each of our Companions has had their own personal experience with having a loved one hospitalized. We believe these unique personal experiences deepen the commitment and understanding our Companions bring to our patients and their families.

After the loss of their grandfather, Kathleen Benner and Cheryl Formento formed Hospital Companions, Inc. a health care company which aids hospital patients and nursing home residents. The Companionship services support patients, residents, caregivers and family members. Whether family lives nearby or is caring from a distance, hiring a Companion keeps the family and friends well informed. The Hospital or Nursing Home Companionship service goes well beyond sitting. These women pride themselves on being health advocates for people looking for an enhanced patient care experience in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Their patient advocacy and companionship services are currently available in Hinsdale, Oak Brook, LaGrange, Glendale Heights, Naperville, Downers Grove, Winfield, Wheaton, Lisle, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Aurora, Oswego, Geneva, Elgin, Joliet, Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Maywood, Berwyn, Elk Grove Village, Elmhurst, Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, Park Ridge, Barrington, Glenview, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Evanston and other Chicagoland communities.
